Founded in New York City in 2010 for the purpose of publishing literature in English about the Middle East.
All books published by the Press are by Linda K. Jacobs. Her first book—Digging In: An American Archaeologist Uncovers the Real Iran—came out in 2011. A Farsi edition was published in Iran in 2021. Strangers in the West: The Syrian Colony of New York City, 1880-1900 appeared in 2015, and a revised second edition is planned for late 2022. Strangers No More: Syrians in the United States, 1880-1900, published in 2019, tells the stories of the Syrian settlements that sprang up in every American state and territory in the nineteenth century. A fourth book, comprising themed chapters about the Syrian diasporic experience in the United States, is forthcoming.
